High Falls Gorge - NY

Finally!!! A day of sun - after the dismal day of rain and an extremely low cloud deck, we were able to take the motorcycle out for a day of riding and enjoying the sights that the Lake Placid area of the Adirondack Mountains had to offer.

We started out our day at the High Falls Gorge - for $21, we were able to treat ourselves to a 3/4 mile hike around some picturesque waterfalls and natural granite formations that have taken thousands of years to be created.

While at the gorge, the sun came out in force, and following an hour or so hike, we made our way from the gorge to the Veteran's Memorial Highway, just up the road a few miles.

For more information on the gorge, see www.highfallsgorge.com.
