My first stop in the French Quarter was the St Louis Cathedral. The Cathedral-Basilica of St. Louis King of France is the oldest Catholic cathedral in continual use in the United States. I was able to get inside just before it was closed to tourists for the day. The architecture and artwork is awe-inspiring both inside and out. My pictures cannot begin to do it justice. I hope to do some post-processing in the next few weeks to try and bring out some of the majesty of this structure.
