Arrival to New Orleans - Firehouse Software Conference

My day started early, 5am as I had to get to Cleveland airport for a 9am departure to New Orleans. Everything went very smoothly on the flight, no luggage lost, nice direct flight, only about 1/2 full. When I arrived in New Orleans, my baggage was already on the conveyer belt down in baggage claim - I have never had it arrive so fast.

I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to check into the hotel as I arrived so early - but that was no problem either. A lot of other people were arriving to the conference early like me and everyone seemed to get in.

The hotel is 41 stories tall, and I am on the 21st floor, overlooking the Mississippi River. It is interesting seeing the ocean vessels coming in and out. The hotel is nice, but the walls are paper thin - you can hear a lot of outside noise at night.

Pictured here are Canal Street (out front of the hotel), and my view from my room.
