Bottle Rockets

One of the favorite activities of the week was playing with the bottle rockets.  Papa made the boys a launching pad for 2-liter bottles.  You put about 1/2 liter of water in the rocket, attach a rubber stopper with an air hose attachment, then pump up the bottle with air till the pressure builds enough to launch the bottles.  Some of the launches were impressive, going as far as 70 feet or more.  

This will be a great summer activity, as you get quite wet when the bottle lets loose.  Papa is building the boys another pad and they can have their war games (while trying to keep the bottles away from Nikita!) when we return in July.
