Our first day at Grandma and Papa's was spent touring Fort Ontario. Upon entry, the boys were "drafted" into the King's army. Josh jumped right in, Chris asked what would happen if he refused - and was told he would be shot... (He agreed to join then).While there, we toured and learned about the soldiers and their lives (enlisted vs. officers), how wars were fought, and wages that were earned. The boys also got to play with common toys from that era.
The afternoon culminated with a reenactment of a British Assault on the fort.
