Mount Vernon

On Wednesday, we had the opportunity to take the White House and Capitol Tours.  These took all day, and due to the fact that cameras aren't allowed on White House Property, no pics are available for either activity (it was too difficult to come back to the hotel for the camera).

Thursday morning, we drove down to tour Mount Vernon.  This property was inherited by George Washington and he farmed here until his death in 1799.  Pictured are the main mansion, G. Washington's tomb, and a working replica of one of the many farms that he oversaw during his life, especially after the Revolutionary War.
